Job Purpose:
The Machinist 2 will plan and execute assignments using machine tools ranging from lathes to milling machines and CNC machines to enhance the productivity of our organization. This will include quality checks and monitoring machine output for the manufacturing of equipment, parts and structures in the forest products industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains drill press, lathe and milling machines.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, manuals and schematics to ensure accurate production.
- Complete calculations quickly, such as dimensions and tolerances of materials.
- Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects.
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
- Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
- Works with costly metals where possibility of damage or spoilage is high.
- Maintains a safe operation of equipment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Machine tool certification/diploma preferred.
- Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.

Job Purpose:
The Project Manager works closely with document control, engineering, production, construction, customer service, and purchasing personnel. Additional work will include prioritize resources and work plans for projects to meet company requirements and commitments. The project manager decides when to order and deliver worksite materials, and schedule any resources, equipment and labor in order to meet scope of work to be performed.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate, schedule, and monitor company work and projects for company profit and customer satisfaction through either telephone, email, or necessary travel.
- Coordinate with the various managers and department personnel to arrange necessary resources, tools, materials, and personnel to meet job/project goals and commitments.
- Create Microsoft Project schedules for work/projects and internal planning.
- Coordinate and negotiate agreement about customers' project responsibilities, plan and schedule Fulghum Industries plant, customer service and project work tasks, and help develop appropriate materials delivery schedules.
- Requisition and coordinate with purchasing department and parts room for vendor set-up, quotes, purchase, and component and materials delivery.
- Negotiate and select outside contractors based on various factors. (Ability, dependability, availability, and cost.)
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Five to ten years direct/relevant experience in Project Management field preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable in engineering technologies, technical writing, construction manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, contract negotiations and project management.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD 2016 or later required, and SolidWorks.
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing work priorities and environment; Ability to multitask.
Job Purpose:
The Welder will perform SMAW and FCAW welding and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Inspect work and fixtures, work from blueprints, and set up and weld parts as called for by shop drawings.
- Set and maintain proper welding temperatures, wire feeds, and gas setting to produce quality welds.
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated, damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and work area.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic understanding of the use of measuring tools, welding techniques, and manufacturing process.
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
Critical Competencies:

- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
Job Purpose:
The Fabricator is responsible to build high-quality metal components and equipment. The Fabricator will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating metal components or structures, and preforming quality checks on finished products. The Fabricator may also be required to set up fabricating machines and design custom templates.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Constructing base templates if necessary.
- Fabricating and constructing metal components.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- GED or High School diploma.
- Previous work experience as a metal fabricator.
- Must have excellent attendance and ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
- AWS certification and advanced welding experience.
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.
- Ability to stand for long periods.

Job Purpose:
Generate proposals for single equipment items and total mill projects by evaluating design parameters and throughput requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare proposals and quotations for new equipment and total mill projects including engineering and installation.
- Coordinate with engineering in developing process solutions.
- Responsibility includes domestic and international sales.
- Response to customer inquiries may require researching historical product data.
- Traveling to meet with customers to determine their project needs and process requirements.
- Must also have the ability to research and design total mill projects by throughput requirements.
- Must be knowledgeable in technical writing, design drawing interpretation, product knowledge and capabilities, communication, multi-tasking, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S. ME) is preferred.
- Associate of Science (A.S.) / Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) degree or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school.
